GOING ORGANIC

Providing up-to-date and fresh organic content for your website is the best way to guarantee that search engines will find your business and rank it high on the search engine results list.

The internet is a cluttered place. With millions of websites, all competing for the attention of search engines, it’s easy for your website to get lost in the confusion.

Luckily, there is a way to keep your website fresh and appealing, not only to your clients but to those tireless search engines

What is Organic Content?

Organic content marketing is a more subtle way of reaching search engines than paid advertising and promotional content. If your business has a blog, or an Instagram profile you are already using organic content: you just didn’t know it!

Blog posts

People love reading blog content. It provides them with up-to-date information about your products or services, and helps them navigate to other pages where they can pick up even more information.

Best of all, Search engines love blog content. By adding keywords in subtle places, and keeping your blog content fresh and updated, you can attract their attention more easily.

That way, when a new client searches for your product, the search engine will target your website because it has all of the things that the search engine is looking for: keywords, links to other web pages, photographs with alt text

Organic social media content

Your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Snapchat accounts are far more than just a fun way to post about your business. By utilising relevant social media to reach different segments of your client base, you can not only broaden your reach but give an extra nudge to the search engine algorithms.

Organic social media content is a great way to build a community with your customers. By making them feel included in a special group, you will encourage them to not only return to purchase further products but to share information about your business with their other social media friends.

Stand out from the crowd with effective organic content!

Organic Content Marketing Encourages Emotional Connections

Everyone likes to feel included. So good organic content marketing should encourage an emotional connection between you and your customers.

Content that is focused on helping, educating and entertaining your client base will enable you to connect with customers on a deeper level than simply trying to sell them something.

Effective content organisation is important

Ensuring that your organic content reaches the correct people is vital. Your content organisation should be set up in such a way that blog posts, social media and newsletters are sent at the correct time to the correct set of customers.

You also need to tailor your organic content to the things that appeal to each particular segment of customers. The language, imagery and

Good Copywriting is the Key to Effective Organic Content

People often ask me: “what is copywriting?” Copy is simply the text that you read on any website, in any newspaper, or in any product catalogue. Somebody had to put all of those words together in a logical and attractive way: that’s copywriting.

Creating good copy is a highly specialised skill. Knowing how to use correct grammar, punctuation, humour and authenticity is part of the copywriter’s skill set. And knowing how to construct good organic content that will hold the reader’s attention is one of the most important parts of a copywriter’s job.

How Long Should a Blog Post Be?

Let’s face it. We all have very short attention spans these days. So you need to make sure that your readers aren’t going to be distracted by a cute cat video halfway through reading your blog post. Search engines know how to monitor reader engagement and if your customers are losing interest in your content, the search engines will also lose interest and move on to sites with better customer engagement.

Ideally, a blog post should be no longer than 1,200 words and be broken up into small, easy-to-read sections with plenty of images, headings and pull quotes to break up the text.
